Wednesday Worship and Family Fun (WWF) is our Wednesday night kid's program for preschoolers through 6th grade. We place a high value on fun because we know that if something isn't fun, kids won't come. At the same time, this is the perfect opportunity to teach kids about the love of Jesus.
At 6:45, we start and the sanctuary with a time of high-energy worship. Then a Bible story and a lesson. From there, we break into groups. Our 5th and 6th graders have their own special program called Club 56. They'll do their own games and activities and meet together in small groups to help them apply the lesson to their lives as well as pray for each other.
Everyone else will go to games or a "special." Specials are month-long sessions that teach about different things. Some specials we've done in the past are pet care, building bat houses, cooking, girls night and boys night.
After games and specials, the kids meet in small groups and talk about what they learned during the lesson and how they can apply what they learned in their own life. The groups always end with prayer.
